Our Mission:

To support all people in their arts education with a special focus on diversity, the mission of the MiMusic Scholarship Fund is to provide music lessons and instruments to students who have financial need and who are otherwise underserved in the community. These lessons are to be provided in a safe learning environment, by a highly qualified music instructor on the student’s chosen instrument. As the student progresses in their studies we also provide artist development programs including placement, management, and musical equipment and sound services. There is a special focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion and we make a concerted effort to seek out students from different backgrounds. It is also our mission to serve students in the area who have special needs because differently-abled individuals need access to the arts as well.  It is in this way that we intend to bridge the gap in our community in order to be able to provide an arts education to all students, regardless of income, cultural background, identity, or ability. We believe all people deserve access to the elements of self-care and human development, and that the arts are extremely important to these areas.
